She pushed herself to do this heavy work for many years until age and illness finally robbed her of the strength to walk or carry her wares.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eAmina suffered from the loss of four of her five sons, leaving her with only one surviving son, Ibrahim Hamisi Nonda, who now cares for her. Living with painful arthritis that makes movement nearly impossible, she found herself in a desperate situation where even getting basic maize flour was a daily challenge.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eShe was introduced to the program through her local mosque, where she had been a dedicated member for many years.
