Every month, she received wheat flour, maize flour, rice, sugar, porridge flour, a litre of cooking oil and other essentials. These weren’t just items on a list. They were meals she no longer had to worry about. They were days when her children would not go hungry. Transport to the clinic was often too expensive, leaving her to push through sickness alone. Then came the day her eyesight weakened so badly she could barely find her way. A neighbor noticed her struggle, held her hand and walked her gently to the clinic at Mama Ibado Charity Offices. At the clinic she was examined, treated and given medication.
