He sought employment and engaged in casual labor, working on farms and occasionally as a cook.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eIn 1984, Athumani married and has five children and six grandchildren. His children are also engaged in casual labor, lacking permanent jobs that would enable them to support their own families as well as assist him.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eBorn into a family of eleven children, Athumani is the fifth born. Two of his siblings have passed away, leaving nine surviving members.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eBefore receiving assistance from Mama Ibado Charity (MIC), Athumani faced significant challenges in providing food. He has grandchildren whose parents struggle financially, placing the burden of providing for them on him. Earning a living was a constant struggle. To provide for his family, he used to engage in farming and occasionally worked in catering or hotels, showcasing his cooking skills.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eAthumani was introduced to Mama Ibado Charity (MIC) by Ramadhani through Neima and registered with the program on April 1, 2023. As a beneficiary, he receives a package of food items each month, including flour, sugar, tea leaves, uji flour, and ugali flour. He is very thankful for this assistance. He extends his gratitude to Mama Ibado and prays for her continued well-being, also expressing appreciation on behalf of his children and wife.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003e\"Before I joined this program, the problem was food,\" Athumani states. \"Because I have grandchildren. Their parents do not earn enough. So, I must go out to get it. But it was difficult.\" He adds, \"Now the food I get, Alhamdulillah.
