As she grows older, Botu Abdi Ali has increasingly depended on her daughter, Amina Hassan Guyo, for her daily care and support. In a household where several family members rely on limited resources, meeting Botu’s basic needs has often been a difficult responsibility.

Botu’s situation began to change after she was enrolled as a beneficiary of Mama Ibado Charity. Through the program’s monthly food assistance, she gained more reliable access to meals, easing some of the pressure on her household and helping her family meet her nutritional needs.

The healthcare support has brought another important change. When Botu becomes ill, her daughter can now seek medical attention without first having to spend days searching for money. She is able to receive treatment and medication more promptly, reducing the uncertainty that once surrounded every illness.

For Botu, the support has brought greater security and dignity in her later years. While her family continues to face challenges, knowing that she has access to regular food assistance and healthcare has eased some of the burden and given her household greater peace of mind.
