DUBEY NOOR OMAR

Dubey Noor is a resilient woman whose life reflects decades of hard work, sacrifice, and perseverance. Born and raised in Isiolo, she spent most of her life doing small jobs to support her family and working as a cook at Wabera Primary School. Through her dedication and labor, she raised her children in a community where opportunities were limited, always putting their needs before her own.

As the years went by, age and health challenges began to take their toll. The energy that once carried her through long days of work gradually faded. She now spends most of her time at home, and simple activities like walking long distances have become difficult because of asthma and other health concerns. At one point, she suffered from a persistent skin condition, which required treatment. While she recovered, her mobility and overall strength were affected, making daily life even more challenging.

Noor’s family also faced difficulties. Her children were unable to secure stable jobs, and sometimes basic necessities, including food, were not always available. There were days when her household struggled to make ends meet, leaving her vulnerable in her later years.

Everything changed when the team from Mama Ibado Charity visited her home. Seeing her situation, they enrolled her as a beneficiary of their seniors’ program. Since then, she has consistently received food support, including essential rations of cooking oil and sugar, which have greatly eased the burden on her family. Beyond food, the charity also provides her hospital insurance, ensuring that her medical needs are met and that she can access care when necessary.

Today, Dubey Noor’s days are still marked by the challenges of age and illness, but the support she receives has brought stability, hope, and dignity to her life. Her daughter-in-law, Nastea Ahmed Adan, shares, “We are truly grateful to Mama Ibado Charity. Their help has made a real difference in my mother-in-law’s life, and we pray that they continue supporting more seniors like her.”
