Halima was born into a large family of ten children in Isiolo. Her father worked as a tailor, providing for the family by making clothes. From a young age, Halima and her siblings learned the value of hard work and responsibility. Her father taught them the craft of tailoring, a skill that would later become vital in sustaining their family.
Tragically, Halima’s mother passed away when she was in Class 3. This loss forced the siblings to support one another and shoulder responsibilities beyond their years. Despite the challenges, Halima embraced the lessons her father had imparted and took on the role of tailoring to help provide for her brothers and sisters.
