The team conducted a home assessment and learned about her circumstances. Soon after, Nkirote was enrolled in the organization’s food program. For the first time in years, she had consistent access to monthly food packages—provisions that brought stability to her life. However, as her mobility declined, she could no longer make the journey to the collection point. Recognizing this, Mama Ibado Charity decided to deliver the food directly to her home. But the challenges did not end there. One season, heavy rains overwhelmed her old structure. Water damaged her belongings, and the pit latrine she relied on collapsed. Her safety, privacy, and wellbeing were under serious threat. In response, Mama Ibado Charity intervened once more—this time, to rebuild. They constructed a new, secure home for Nkirote, offering her not only protection from the elements but also a renewed sense of safety and dignity. Her new house now stands as a symbol of restored hope and enduring care.

In addition to food and shelter, Nkirote also receives medical care through Mama Ibado Charity’s healthcare program. She now visits regularly at home to monitor her wellbeing, offer treatment, and respond to her evolving needs. For a woman once invisible to the systems of care, this consistent medical attention is life-giving.
