Margaret Nduku arrived in Isiolo in 1996 with her husband and children, full of hope for a better future. But life took a painful turn when her husband passed away, leaving her a widow with three young children to raise on her own. Having been a stay-at-home mother, Margaret suddenly faced the harsh realities of life without a source of income.

Unable to afford school fees, her children were forced to leave school. Determined to make ends meet, Margaret started a small business selling clothes. But over time, the market grew cold, and sales slowed until there was nothing left. Her children eventually left home in search of their own paths, and Margaret was left alone struggling with illness, loneliness, and hunger.

Her health deteriorated to the point where she could no longer afford medical care or even food. That’s when she was introduced to Mama Ibado Charity — a turning point in her journey.

Today, Margaret receives regular food supplies and healthcare support through the charity’s program. With her medical card, she can now access much-needed medication and hospital services. The support has not only restored her health but also brought back a sense of dignity, belonging, and hope.
