Born in Isiolo County, Maria Ali Walsama’s life has been defined by resilience, sacrifice, and unwavering commitment to her family. For many years, she supported her household through buying and selling goats. The small but steady income she earned sustained her family, providing food, clothing, and basic necessities. Her daughter, Farhia Ali Walsama, remembers how her mother worked tirelessly to ensure they never went hungry, moving between buyers and markets with determination and hope.
