For Mbosan Ramata, life has been a long testament to resilience, sacrifice, and quiet endurance. As a single mother whose husband passed away many years ago, Mbosan bore the sole responsibility of providing for and raising her children through immense hardship. Among her family is her son, who lives with mental health challenges and requires constant care, adding another layer of responsibility to her daily life. For decades, Mbosan served as the unwavering pillar of her household, working tirelessly to ensure her family’s basic needs were met despite limited resources.

However, the relentless physical strain of her younger years, combined with the natural passage of time, eventually took a heavy toll on her health. Today, Mbosan is advanced in age and faces severe physical limitations. She is no longer able to walk, experiences persistent bodily tremors, and is largely confined to a single spot inside her home. When her family managed to take her to the hospital seeking answers, the doctors confirmed that her declining health and loss of mobility were the inevitable effects of advanced age.

Her granddaughter, Mulkher Muhammed, who now steps in to assist with her daily care, recalls the immense difficulty of watching her grandmother's strength fade while the family struggled to manage her medical needs and daily upkeep. Without a steady income or physical mobility, the household faced an uncertain future.

A turning point arrived when the Mama Ibado Charity visited her home, Mbosan was then enrolled into the program to receive regular food rations, essential supplies, and medical care.

The intervention brought immediate relief to the household, easing the financial and emotional burden on her caregivers while restoring a sense of comfort and dignity to Mbosan’s life.

"By God's grace, Mama Ibado was moving around looking for the elderly beneficiaries, and my grandmother happened to be one of them," Mulkher shares. "She received help, praise be to God."

Today, Mbosan no longer has to worry about where her next meal will come from or how her family will cope. The continuous support ensures that after a lifetime spent sacrificing for others, she can live out her golden years surrounded by care, respect, and security.
