MUNYANYA SULEMAN SAIDI
Suleiman Said Mnyanya was born on July 30, 1945, in Marrum, Lurambi, Kakamega County. One of three children, Suleiman's early education centered around religious studies at a Madrasa under Mama Ali Murjai. Formal schooling was not a priority for his parents, who believed Islamic teachings were sufficient, even though they could afford a secular education.
This conviction shaped the course of Suleiman's life. Instead of pursuing formal education, Suleiman started working as a craftsman, specializing in repairing stoves and Optimus lamps. This skill became his primary source of income, and he continues to practice it even today.
