Mwanaimani Chisambilo’s life has been a testament to endurance. Raised in the village of Mwironje, Kakamega, she was one of five siblings. But over time, loss became a recurring chapter in her story. Three of her siblings passed away, followed by the death of her father shortly after she got married. Her mother passed not long after, and her only surviving brother remained behind in their ancestral home.
Marriage brought new responsibilities, but happiness was fleeting. Mwanaimani's husband died, leaving her to raise their seven children alone.
