Patrick Nangabo Akola

Patrick Nangabo, 62, lives a quiet and humble life in the heart of Amalemba, Kakamega County, he is a man shaped by decades of hardship, resilience, and unexpected kindness. Born in 1962 in Bunyala, he was one of six children in his family.

Without access to education, Patrick’s childhood quickly transitioned into a life of labor. He took on any manual job he could find, just to make it through each day. With no steady employment and limited options, he worked as a casual laborer for many years before eventually securing a position as a security guard in Eldoret. Though this role brought some temporary relief, his return home marked the continuation of his financial and emotional struggles.

He later married and had two children. His wife, originally from Uganda, eventually returned to her home country. Despite relocating to Kakamega in search of better opportunities, life remained difficult, and meaningful employment remained elusive.

In recent years, a turning point came through the support of Mama Ibado Charity, which began providing Patrick with regular food assistance. This support has played a critical role in easing the burden of his day-to-day life. The food packages have brought much-needed relief and stability, especially during times when survival seemed nearly impossible.

Patrick deeply appreciates the help he receives, recognizing it as a vital source of comfort in an otherwise challenging existence. The generosity of Mama Ibado Charity has not only nourished his body but also rekindled a sense of dignity and hope in his life.
