LOWAKAL LOKEI

Lowakal was born in Baragoi, Samburu County, where he spent his childhood and grew into a young man. In 1960, he moved to Archers Post, seeking new opportunities. However, life was not without challenges. Tribal clashes forced him and his family to leave Archers Post, and they eventually settled in Isiolo County. This relocation marked a turning point in Lowakal’s life, introducing both new beginnings and hardships.

After moving to Isiolo, Lowakal secured a job working for the government. During this time, life was stable, and he could provide for his family. However, his employment eventually ended, and he returned to stay with his family. Life in Isiolo was far from easy; resources were scarce, and his household struggled to make ends meet.
The family faced further setbacks when bandit raids devastated their livelihood. Lowakal lost almost all of his cattle, a critical source of income and sustenance. These events placed immense pressure on him, and he had to navigate the challenges of poverty while supporting his family.

Tragedy struck once more when his wife passed away after suffering from high blood pressure. Lowakal was left to care for their children alone, shouldering the emotional and financial burden of single parenthood. The combination of loss, limited resources, and the responsibility of raising his children alone made life extremely challenging.
Amid these difficulties, a longtime friend informed Lowakal about Mama Ibado Charity, explaining that the organization provides support to seniors in need. Motivated by hope, Lowakal visited the charity’s office. After some time, he was called and officially added as a beneficiary. The charity immediately provided him with food, enough to share with his children while regular support was being established.

Since becoming a beneficiary, Lowakal has received consistent food assistance as well as access to healthcare. This support has significantly improved the well-being of both him and his children. For the first time in years, he could feed his children without worry and manage basic health needs, providing a sense of security and dignity that had long been missing.

Reflecting on the impact of Mama Ibado Charity, Lowakal shared his heartfelt gratitude: “I am very grateful for the support I get, and I pray to God to bless Mama Ibado Charity.” Their assistance has not only addressed his basic needs but also brought hope and reassurance, allowing him to face life’s challenges with renewed strength and confidence.
